eclectic modern kitchen image

Who we did it for:

The Tessier/Waggoner Family

Why we did it:

The existing kitchen, in this 1931 home, was completed (as a quick fix) when the clients purchased the home. The footprint was small so they used space saving strategies to maximize their workspace & storage. The kitchen worked from many years but it was finally time for an update. The goals for the new kitchen were to include additional workspace & storage, improved lighting, and a functional layout for ease of movement, tasks & entertaining.

What we did:

  • Opened up the wall between the kitchen & the dining room
  • Opened up the main entrance for a stronger focal point
  • Created pantry space, large island, banquette seating & custom dining table that converts to a coffee table when entertaining
  • Use local products & materials that were slightly unconventional to create a modern eclectic design
