Tracy Dyck

Founder & Professional Interior Designer B.I.D., NCIDQ, PIDIM

Founder & Professional Interior Designer B.I.D., NCIDQ, PIDIM

At the tender age of seven, Tracy designed her dream bedroom influenced by the interior of the “I Dream of Jeannie” bottle. While playing with barbies, it was less about the dolls and more about building the houses they lived in. The Sears catalogue was a source for imagery to create furniture & accessory collages. Needless to say, it became apparent at an early age that Interior Design was the perfect career for her. Tracy began her Interior Design education in the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Manitoba and completed her bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University. She then received her NCIDQ certification in 2014, which designates her as a Professional Interior Designer.

After graduation, Tracy worked at a small residential interior design firm in Winnipeg before she decided to branch out on her own. S3 was founded in 2003 with the goal of building a boutique company that would create functional & beautiful spaces for its clients, empower its team members, and respect the environment. One of Tracy’s favourite projects is the design and build of her own straw bale home in 2005.

After working on all aspects of growing S3 and leading design projects, Tracy’s current focus is business development, project management, and supporting her team with a mission to continually improve the client and team experience.

When she’s not working, Tracy loves spending her summer at the lake, travelling the world, hiking, and trying new food. She is blessed to be married to her high-school sweetheart, Kevin; together, they have raised two beautiful, adventurous daughters.

Senior Interior Designer / Project Lead
B.Env.D (Interiors), NCIDQ

Born and raised in Saskatchewan, Canada, Carrie’s dream of becoming an interior designer brought her to Winnipeg. What started out as a desire to create beautiful spaces has evolved to giving her clients a truly authentic design experience. After receiving her a bachelor’s degree from the University of Manitoba in 2005, Carrie joined S3 in 2009. She then went on to receive her designation as a professional interior designer in 2017 by obtaining her NCIDQ certification.

Carrie has thoroughly enjoyed growing and evolving with S3 Interior Design. Her role as the senior designer is to lead projects from design concept to completion. Building relationships with her clients, and learning how their personal aesthetic can inform the design is one of the favourite aspects of her work. She believes that interior design is more than lines on the page and it can bring improvements to your lifestyle, health, and overall wellbeing. Her level-headed personality helps the design process run smoothly when faced with the numerous details of each project.

In her free time, Carrie enjoys creating memories and sharing experiences with her husband Travis and their son Daxton. You might run into them taking in a sporting event, venturing outdoors, or purchasing supplies for their next renovation project.

What does S3 stand for?

Function and aesthetic must work together. If a space doesn’t perform well, its beauty will quickly fade.

Longevity equates to sustainability. A space that is well designed in terms of function, aesthetic cohesiveness, and quality pieces will stand the test of time. We source high quality finishes, fixtures, and furniture to extend the life of your space through years to come. When appropriate, we encourage restoring and reusing the items you already own as a sustainability practice.

From single rooms, to major renovations, additions, and new builds, our expertise is transforming spaces. We want your home, work place or vacation space to be a reflection of you. Your home, vacation home, or office should be a reflection of you; to inspire your mind, body, and spirit.
