Our 13-step design-build process is a clear, step-by-step journey that guides your project (however small or big) from those exciting first ideas all the way to move-in day, so you always know what’s happening and what’s coming next.
Phase 1: Getting to Know You & Contract
Steps 1-3
Every project begins with connection. We start with a complimentary 15-minute phone conversation to learn more about your project and answer any initial questions. From there, we schedule an in-person Discovery Consultation to explore your space, understand your lifestyle and design goals, and determine how we can best support your vision. After the consultation, we prepare a tailored Scope of Work and design contract so expectations are clear from the start.
Phase 2: Design & Pricing
Steps 3-9
This phase is where ideas start to take shape.
Step 4–5: Start-Up & Concept
We document your space, meet with consultants as needed, and begin the creative work. You’ll receive an initial concept package that includes layout and space planning, followed by a concept review meeting and one round of revisions.
Step 6: Trade Day & Consultant Coordination
We invite trusted trades on-site to review the space and gather input for accurate pricing. This is when we compile installation estimates and consult with any required specialists.
Step 7: The Presentation
Here’s where the vision really comes to life. You’ll receive 3D renderings, curated finishes and furnishings, and detailed pricing. It’s a comprehensive presentation designed to help you confidently approve the final design.
Step 8: Final Revisions
We make any final edits and adjustments. A final set of drawings and updated pricing is prepared based on your feedback.
Step 9: IFC Sign-Off
Once you’re ready to move forward, we hold a sign-off meeting. With your approval, we’re set to launch procurement and begin implementation.
Phase 3: Implementation (Procurement & Construction)
Steps 10-12
From this point on, we manage the moving parts so you don’t have to.
Step 10: Procurement
We collect deposits, order furnishings, track deliveries, coordinate storage, and inspect items upon arrival.
Step 11–12: Design Support, Project Management & Set-Up
Throughout construction, we attend site visits, answer trade questions, and review shop drawings. We manage installations and ensure your vision is carried through to completion. Once construction is complete, we schedule a final clean, install any remaining décor, and walk you through your new space.
Phase 4: Close Out
Step 13
The final step is all about celebration and reflection.
We take professional photos, share final documents, and gather feedback to ensure you’re absolutely thrilled with the end result.
