Who we did it for:

The Kroeger Family

Why we did it:

Our clients fell in love with this home in their neighborhood years ago. When it came onto the market, they decided to take the leap, sell their long-term family home and purchase their dream property. The house had all the architectural bones they loved, but it was dated and had key layout issues that needed to be resolved. When their grown children come to visit, they want this new house to feel like home, the way their previous house felt.

The entire home was the focus of this renovation, with the majority of the design scope targeted on the main floor. Jane & Howard live in their kitchen and adjoining family room.  They wanted a seamless transition between these two areas and a cozy, classic feel.  In their formal spaces, they wanted the option to curl up and read or entertain larger groups for dining.  They also required their primary bedroom and ensuite to feel like a retreat space. A functional mudroom space with easy access to backyard pool was also a must.  Incorporating, Jane’s family heirlooms was key to the styling of their home.

We named this project “Cozy Homestead” because of its country location and its warm, transitional styling.
