Who we did it for:

The Sharples Family

Why we did it:

This beach home needed of some updating and reconfiguring to meet Jordan & Pat’s requirements. They bought the cottage with the intention of one day living there full time, so there needed to be enough room for all the visiting children and grandkids.

Originally, the stairs to the second floor were in the middle of the home, which closed off the main floor and limited the second-floor layout options. The stairs were relocated to accommodate the new loft layout, and they became a main feature of the house. The family wanted a kitchen large enough to accommodate hosting the whole family and friends, as well as a connection to the living room. As with all beach front homes, the main priority was the view of the water. This stunning view can be seen from all public spaces in the cottage!

The clients wanted their space to be bright, refreshing, relaxing with a hit of sophistication.  It is a place of retreat and connection. Revamping the interior architecture as well as introducing a variety of light-coloured finishes accented with hits of black, this atmosphere was created.

What we did:

  • Established the client’s wants and needs
  • Exterior Architecture & Finish Selection
  • Interior Space planning
  • Millwork & Detailing
  • Reflected Ceiling Plan, Lighting Design & Fixture Selection
  • Interior Finishes
  • Construction Administration

This new beach home gives the Sharples a retreat away from their busy lives where they can unwind, relax and enjoy time with their family and friends.
