Who we did it for:
The Langhan Family
Why we did it:
This 1950’s bungalow is located on a picturesque street in Winnipeg. The home was renovated a few years before the family took ownership, but the interior finishing did not speak to them. They wanted a space that was bright, fresh and timeless. The layout of the home worked well, so major space planning was not required. The main floor sitting area did undergo a structural update with the removal of the secondary fireplace, in exchange for a large picture window which increased the view to the park-like back yard. The exterior of the home also received sophisticated alterations through the addition of wood-look siding, black trim and stylish new doors.
The renovation motivated the couples’ two growing sons to move into their own lower-level bedrooms which, in turn, allowed space for a main floor home office complete with a Murphy bed for guests.
Every interior element from the millwork details to the tile inlays to the furniture and accessories were carefully considered to ensure this family home feels cohesive, comfortable and polished.
