Who we did it for:

The Sarchuk Family

Why we did it:

The exterior of this Tuxedo home needed a new modern flair! A “typical ranch house” is what we used to describe its previous style. The client challenged us to give it a new Scandinavian feel, and we were determined to make that happen.

Elements of Scandinavian design include minimal aesthetics that uses light, neutral materials mixed with dark hues that are inspired by their Nordic landscapes. We agreed that to enhance the architecture of the house drawing our attention to the gable ends by pulling them outward and down to the ground made a dramatic change to the home.

We also altered the exterior by adding a slatted pergola to the front entry and a stone planter below the living room window. With the additional exterior architecture, we layered white stucco, wood aluminum siding, stone, and black metal cladding to add dimension to the design.

The finished look is stunning and the home fits with the custom architecture of surrounding homes in the neighborhood.
