DISCOVERY:
The exterior of this Tuxedo home needed some updated flair! A typical “ranch house” is how we’d describe its original style. Our client challenged us to give her home’s facade a modern Scandinavian feel that would still resonate within this established neighbourhood.

Accomplishments:
We chose to incorporate Scandinavian elements because they easily integrated with the home’s original façade and created a modernized look. We enhanced the architecture of the house by drawing attention to the gable ends, pulling them forward and extending them to the ground. We also added a slatted pergola to the front entry and a stone planter below the living room window. The finishes include layered white stucco, wood aluminum siding, stone, and black metal cladding to add dimension to the design. The finished look is stunning and the home fits with the custom architecture of surrounding homes in the neighbourhood.
