SCOPE:

Full Renovation

DISCOVERY:

This 1950’s bungalow was renovated a few years before our clients took ownership. The layout of the home worked well, so major space planning was not required.  However, layout alterations to a few key areas were required.  The major issue was that the interior finishing did not speak to our homeowners. They wanted a home that was bright, fresh and timeless. The exterior of the home was also looking for some sophisticated alterations.

Our Focus:

Design

  • kitchen layout
  • family room layout
  • lower-level family room layout
  • millwork design & interior detailing
  • lighting layouts
  • interior & exterior finish & fixture selections
  • furniture layouts
  • selection of furniture pieces and accessory items
  • 3D renderings

Management & Procurement

  • partnering with the building team to ensure the design was implemented according to plan.
  • furniture & accessory sourcing, purchasing, warehousing & delivery.

Styling

  • installation of the furniture pieces, area rugs, art & accessories.

Accomplishments:

The functional alterations included the removal of a secondary fireplace in the sitting area, in exchange for a large picture window which increased the view to the park-like back yard. The second bedroom became a home office with murphy bed for overnight guests. Lower-level alterations created kid friendly hang out and sleeping spaces. Every interior finish and fixture, every piece of furniture and each décor item was carefully considered to ensure that each space feels cohesive & comfortable. Our clients now have a home with a timeless, chic aesthetic that suits their lifestyle.
